Snow Magic…

I’ve been sadly absent from blogging for a while, busy with holiday and party prep.

Now, we’re back in Indiana, where last night’s snowfall painted a magical picture for us. It’s truly like a live holiday card here. Thanks to my DH for his early-morning photo journey.

Once the kids go out and make snow angels and a snowman, it will change from the peaceful scene to a lively, cheerful panorama of glee.

Happy Holidays!

Well, we HAVE had snow here in winter…

Monday, February 25, 2008

Don’t fall out of your chair! It isn’t snowing here today. In fact, it was 92 today!!!!! But looking at all the beautiful northern snows and ice covered plants, it reminded me that we HAVE had snow here, and it’s just a beautiful when we get it here. It turns everything into a magical winter wonderland. I thought you’d enjoy seeing these — they were the winter of 2003-2004.

And this is my little munchkin’s first look at it!  She doesn’t seem too sure, does she?

No snow in Austin

Well, it’s been an unseasonably warm winter here in Austin, even for us. So this was the closest we got to snow over the holidays! There were flurries on our Indiana trip, but not much to speak of and the wind was biting cold, so Grandma brought out the snow she’d saved in the freezer for Kallie to play with on the kitchen floor!

Kinda the best of both worlds!
